KPMG
SQUASH LEAGUE 2007

The competition, under the auspices of The Jamaica Squash Association, will
be known as THE KPMG SQUASH LEAGUE.
The format will be as a Handicap tournament. Current JSA handicap list
attached.

The League will be organized by a Committee comprised of Chairman- Raymond
Donaldson and Jeremy Parkinson with Special Advisor Karen
Anderson. All disputes, requests for
transfer or applications for new team members must be referred
to the above-mentioned Committee for consideration. Requests for
transfer and applications for new team members will be permitted
only at the discretion of the Organizing Committee, which reserves the right
to allocate new players to teams. These requests must be made a
minimum of seven days in advance.

Each team will consist of a maximum of three (3) players plus a maximum of
one (1) reserve. Teams may comprise males and females and are to
be submitted before the commencement of the League. Each player will be
handicapped, in accordance with the official
JSA Handicap listing attached. Players
with no official handicap will be handicapped by the Organizing
Committee in conjunction with the JSA.

The reserve may play in any match, so long as a minimum of two matches are
played.

A designated member of the Committee or, his or her representative, will be
available on each match
evening to adjudicate in the event
of disputes, and to see to the smooth starting of matches.

The format for this year’s tournament: Matches, consisting of three games
(see rule 8), will be played every Tuesday and Thursday,
during the designated period of the League

Matches will start at 5:45 p.m., unless scheduled otherwise. There will be a
grace period of fifteen (15) minutes after which a match
will be forfeited by the offending team. Captains must declare their team
and playing order in writing to the Committee representative no
later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Failure to
present teams on time without a reasonable explanation and
mutual agreement between teams will
lead to an abandonment of match.

A minimum of two (2) players from each team must be present at the scheduled
start time. At least two games must be played
for scores to count. All players must be present within 60 minutes after
the scheduled start. In the event of a player not
being present at the time his game is called, all
games already played below his position will
be forfeited.

Matches must be completed on the scheduled day. No rescheduling will
be permitted except under
extreme circumstances. This should
be done with the prior agreement of the team captains and the
Organizing
Committee.

Postponed matches, if allowed, must be rescheduled at the expense of the
team requesting the
postponement and must be played
before the next scheduled match.

The home team is the first team named on the fixtures. The home team will be
responsible for hosting.

Teams playing their home games at Liguanea
Club will not be allowed to bring in food and drinks. Instead, a cash bar
will be operated by the concessionaire and food should be
pre-arranged with the concessionaire.

The Order of Play will be at the discretion of the team captains.

Each match will have a Marker and a Referee, one from each team.

Points will be allocated as follows:
Win: 2/1 = 4 Points to 1
3/0 = 5 Points to 0
2/0 = 4 points to 0 (where
both teams do not field full teams)
Draw 1/1 = 1 point each (where
both teams do not field full teams)
The home team captain will complete Results
Sheets. These, signed by both captains are to be returned to the committee
chairman on the Friday following the match. Use of a marking sheet for all
matches is mandatory and these should accompany the Results
Sheet.

All games will be contested to 21 points
over five sets, using Point A Rally Scoring, (American Scoring) and the JSA
Handicap “Sliding Scale”.

If the score reaches twenty (20) all, the receiver’s choice shall be “set
one” to twenty one points, or “set three” to twenty three
points. (WSF Rules.)

Each player will be provided with a T-Shirt
with the sponsors- KPMG Logo.

A plain T-Shirt, your team shirt approved by
the committee, or any with KPMG
logo, while playing, will be appreciated.

League Tables will be emailed to teams and posted on the JSA web site each
week.

All Juniors must wear protective glasses, which are recommended for all
players.

There will be an Entry Fee of $8,000 per team payable to The Jamaica
Squash Association, which
MUST be paid
PRIOR
to the commencement of the League.

Matches will be played on a Round Robin basis. The top 4 teams will
advance to play off in a round-robin final round. The points
scoring will be as in the earlier round. In the event of a tie between two
or more teams for the fourth position, the results between the
teams from the earlier round will be used to determine the team to advance
to the final round. In the event there is still a tie, a count
back of games won/lost will be used to break the tie. If necessary, a
count back of points won lost will be used. If, after
that, the tie is still not broken, a play off will be used to determine the
team to advance to the final round.
